Panel trawnikowy EKOFIX
Ekofix Panel is an aesthetic solution of lawn carpets planted around many buildings. Despite excessive use it retains its ornamental value and usability of a lawn.
Range of application:
On grassy areas which serve as routes, like parking lots, paths, and walkways, access road in residential areas, office building and production shop drive-ins, caravan stands on campsites, garage drive-ins, urban greens, recreation facilities, lawns at recreation centres, and also as buffer areas around trees planted along sidewalks, reinforcement of roadside drain ditch verges, protection of embankments against erosion, reinforcement of road shoulders.
Advantages:
natural permeation of storm waters to soil (much better than paved surfaces);
protects against flooding;
material can be reused;
almost 100% of surface planting;
more static load strength (an expert assessment quotes 200 t/m2);
aesthetic looks while undergrown grass is protected against vehicle wheels;
perfect hardening prevents rutting;
stabilizes soil and helps vehicles not to sink;
quick and simple assembly;
The Ekofix Panel makes all traffic routes accessible.
Design:
Ekofix Panels are of simple design, based on a set of honeycomb chambers. Despite its thin chamber walls it allows to carry excessive surface unit loads up to about 2.05 MPa.
The grass EKOFIX Panel is an HPDE injection; the source material is from recycled plastics. And as such it can be recycled again. HDPE properties:
Density at 23±1ºC between 956 and 964 kg/m3
Volatile contents max 0.15%;
Softening point 70÷135ºC;
Tensile strength 20÷30 MPa;
UV resistant.
EKOFIX Panels are environmentally friendly as they are 100% recyclable, allowing natural water circulation.
The panel is clickable, which is important when transported, while transverse rigs maintain its full stiffness and stability. At the rib bottom there are elements protecting the panel against accidental slips, structural reinforcement sections and lower supports. Rib bottoms are hollowed which allow water to flow through and make transport easier. Panels being laid down, their chambers are backfilled with soil to a level which after natural soil compaction assisted with uniform sprinkling is 5 mm below the upper panel edge. If chambers are to be filled with light soil, it can be mixed up with grass seed before backfilling. In the period of intensive seed growth, the soil has to be watered, it is recommended that vehicles be not parked over longer periods. Once the chambers have been fully overgrown with grass, they can be treated like ordinary lawns. All trimming, fertilization and mowing jobs should be like with lawns in excessive use.
